Discovered in 1887 by a Māori chief, this magical cave is illuminated by thousands of glowworms. You can take a small boat on the underground lake to witness this starry-like phenomenon and learn about the ecology of glowworms with the help of a guide. After lunch, visit Agrodome Farm for a fun ★Farm Tour. Ride a farm tractor and explore this 350-acre farm while interacting with its friendly animals. In the afternoon, take a stroll around Rotorua’s Government Gardens, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the unique atmosphere of Rotorua. After dinner, you may optionally visit the world’s top 10 Polynesian geothermal hot springs to relax and unwind. More than 20 families still live here today, descendants of the fourth and fifth generations of Māori natives. You’ll have the chance to experience authentic Māori culture and traditions while witnessing impressive geothermal landscapes. Afterwards, head to ★Hobbiton Movie Set, one of the filming locations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Travel through picturesque farmland and explore Bag End, Hobbit holes, The Green Dragon Inn, the Mill, and the Party Tree. In the evening, return to Auckland.
