(The city tour may be adjusted depending on flight times.) Hotel: VR Queen Street Hotel & Suites or equivalent 4-star hotel Lunch: Self-arranged Dinner: Chinese Day 2: Auckland - Waitomo Glowworm Caves (2h 45m, 195km) - Rotorua (2h 5m, 145km) Depart in the morning to visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and take a boat tour of the underground lake. After lunch, head to Agrodome Farm for a mini farm tour and animal interactions. In the afternoon, visit the Government Gardens in Rotorua. After dinner, you can optionally visit the Polynesian Spa. Hotel: Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort or equivalent 4-star hotel Breakfast: Hotel buffet Lunch: Western-style Dinner: Chinese Day 3: Rotorua – Hobbiton Movie Set (1 hour, 70km) – Auckland (2 hours 30 minutes, 170km) After breakfast, visit the Whakarewarewa Māori Village, then explore the Hobbiton Movie Set including Bag End and Hobbit houses. Return to Auckland in the evening. After lunch, head to Lake Tekapo to visit the Church of the Good Shepherd. Enjoy salmon sashimi for dinner and optionally stargaze at the observatory. If the weather permits, you can optionally take a helicopter ride or a glacier lake boat tour. Pass through Cromwell and visit a fruit shop before arriving in Queenstown in the evening. You can visit the town of Glenorchy, try extreme sports, go wine tasting, horseback riding, take a helicopter tour, or simply stroll around Queenstown's streets or try its famous big burgers. Hotel: Nugget Point Hotel or equivalent 4-star hotel Breakfast: Western-style at the hotel Lunch: Self-arranged Dinner: Self-arranged Day 7: Queenstown - Milford Sound (4h 15m, 290km) - Te Anau (2h, 120km) After breakfast, travel to Milford Sound for a boat tour of the fjord, where you can enjoy views of snow-capped mountains, waterfalls, and mist, and may even spot seals and dolphins. In the evening, you can optionally visit the Glowworm Caves. Hotel: The Village Inn Hotel or equivalent 3-star hotel Breakfast: Western-style at the hotel Lunch: Buffet lunch on the fjord cruise Dinner: Chinese Day 8: Te Anau - Dunedin (3h 45m, 295km) - Oamaru (1h 45m, 120km) After breakfast, head to Dunedin to visit Otago University, the railway station, Baldwin Street, and other attractions. Pass through the Māori landmark Sand Beach before visiting the blue penguin colony in Oamaru. For dinner, enjoy a Māori-style rock barbecue buffet. After the tour, catch your flight back home, ending your wonderful South Island adventure in New Zealand.
